Dear Supporter,
This evening, over 20,000 members of the law enforcement family and supporters will once again converge at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, to pay tribute to the fallen heroes and their surviving families. To help commemorate their service and sacrifice, please join me in doing two things:
The Memorial now contains the names of 19,660 fallen law enforcement officers, with 362 officers’ names added this year, 163 from 2011 and 199 from previous years. During the Vigil, their lives will be celebrated, their service commemorated, and they will be forever remembered. The Candlelight Vigil is a time honored tradition and is the Memorial’s signature event during National Police Week. Please join us in person or attend via our live webcast. Sincerely, P.S. Please be sure to support the Memorial by making a contribution today if you can. We certainly need and greatly appreciate your support. |

The Internal Revenue Service recently released some good news for all taxpayers. This news is especially welcome to those who have been affected by thieves who are stealing tax refunds by filing fraudulent tax returns.
In Florida, the IRS is starting a test program to help Florida law enforcement track down and prosecute these criminals. This program will allow investigators to access certain tax return information so that law enforcement can find these thieves and bring them to justice.
The IRS needs to work harder to protect the taxpayers and give justice to those who were unfairly cheated out of their money. Although this program is a good start, the IRS should do more to help people affected by identity thieves.
Legislation has been introduced in the Senate that would make criminals pay big time for fraudulently using someone else’s identity to steal by way of the IRS.
If you want more information on this new program in Florida, or if you need tips on how to protect your identity from thieves, visit the IRS’s website. There you can access the Identity Theft Program and keep your hard-earned money safe.

Police Officer Deriek Crouse
Yesterday, Officer Deriek Crouse’s colleagues, friends, and family gathered as his name was unveiled on the walls of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial as part of the annual Unveiling Day ceremony.
| |
Officer Crouse’s name is one of 362 names currently being added to this national monument in 2012, including 163 officers who fell in 2011 and 199 officers killed in the line of duty in prior years.
Please consider making a donation of $20.00 or more to help the Memorial Fund add each name to honor our fallen heroes. Engraving each name costs nearly $250, and it will take nearly $90,000 to meet our engraving expenses for the year. A big expenditure, but the honor and comfort it brings to each officer’s family and loved ones is priceless.
The names of two other courageous law enforcement officers who fell in the line of duty in 2011, Albany (GA) Police Officer Terry Mae Lewis-Flemming and Riverside (MO) Master Patrolman Jefferson Gerald Taylor, were also engraved on Panel 64-E, Line 27.
All 362 newly-engraved names will be formally dedicated on the Memorial during the 24th Annual Candlelight Vigil on the evening of May 13, as part of the National Police Week observances. I sincerely hope you join us or watch a live webcast of the Vigil.
Sincerely,

Craig W. Floyd
Chairman & CEO

The topic of speeding is simple. If you disobey speed limit and are caught doing so by police or safety camera, the police in Las Vegas can hand over a speeding ticket. Most of the people coming to Las Vegas are not aware of the traffic rules. Thus, they often face this consequence.
Usually, police in such a case of speeding can do any one of the following
- Give warning and let you go
- Make you attend speed-awareness course
- Issue a penalty notice
- Prosecute you for speeding
What will be the nature of penalty depends on various circumstances. If you have more than eight points on your license or you are much above speed limit for long distance, there are chances that you have to undergo a court trial. With a minor offence you will receive a Speeding Tickets Las Vegas stating amount of penalty you need to pay. But in such circumstances you will get a point in your license. A few such subsequent points may be a problem for you. Thus, know the traffic rules in details.
If you are new in Las Vegas, you must consult with an efficient lawyer and understand laws properly before you make any decision.

The worst thing that can happen to a credit card holder in Fort Lauderdale is credit card fraud. Because of internet and modern technology these types of frauds have become real problem. Unscrupulous people always look for ways to scam others money. They will use your card and empty your bank account or use the same to do purchases. It is risky to handover the card to some other person anywhere for any reasons. It is also not safe to disclose credit card details while carrying on e-transactions. Credit card fraud is considered as an offense.
The penalty for credit card fraud depends on severity of the offense. Usually a convict is charged with heavy fine and have to complete jail terms. For lesser crime, jail tenure is one year. However, repeated offenses may lead to several years in jail.

Dear Supporter,
Next week, we will begin adding the names of 362 brave men and women who fell in the line of duty to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial. This will bring the total number of officers honored on the Memorial to 19,660. Engraving each name costs nearly $250 — this year it will cost more than $90,000 to honor these brave American heroes. And we need your support! Will you consider helping us complete this important task and honor our officers by making a gift of $20.00 or more? Of the 362 officers, 163 were killed in the line of duty in 2011. An additional 199 officers, who fell in previous years, have been discovered by Memorial Fund research and approved by our Board of Directors as part of our work to honor the sacrifice and service of all of our peace officers — especially our fallen heroes. Part of the mission of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund is to “… permanently record and appropriately commemorate the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers …” Please help us engrave these names with a gift of $20.00 or more. I sincerely hope you join us on May 13, 2012 at 8:00 pm for the 24th annual Candlelight Vigil at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, or watch a live webcast of the Vigil. Sincerely, |
